Kitchen is a place where a lady spends her maximum time so it should have comfortable and fresh feeling. Today's kitchens are far removed from the dark dingy spaces one saw earlier.

• If you have a computer or a TV in you kitchen, you will have to provide special lighting in an effective manner, so that there is no glare on the screen.
• It is best to use dimmers for all the lights as they not only save electricity, but also allow you to set the mood in the kitchen.
• Using colored lights for the kitchen is very popular. Use lights of the same color for all the kitchen lighting.
• You can use decorative lights, which come in a number of finishes like wrought iron, rust, nickel etc.
